Non ?

Interview by David Hepworth
NEIL FINN AND HIS WIFE Sharon have recently relocated from Auckland, New Zealand to the countryside around Bath. They made the move because their eldest son, a professional musician, was based in London and his younger brother had started to attend an international school in Wales. "We just thought, 'Bugger that, being empty nesters at the other side of the world'" says Neil by way of explanation.
There are also professional considerations. When he wants a French horn player to make a contribution to his next record, due out next spring if, as he concedes, he doesn't decide to scrap it and start again, then he can easily get one of the best ones in the world. His record company is based here, as is his management, who also look after Oasis.
It also enables him to get involved in the promotion of Farewell To The World, the DVD and CD that marks the tenth anniversary of the final Crowded House concert taking place on the steps of Sydney Opera House. In the 10 years since, he has made his own albums, worked with his brother Tim and collaborated with friends like Johnny Marr and Eddie Vedder. He has also damped down the clamour for a Crowded House reunion from fans, record company and former members. Their drummer, and Finn's good friend Paul Hester, died in March 2005.
